Prototype Model
These flat waggons made of steel were in use for the stone transport at the IRR (International governmental group of Austria and Switzerland for the constructions to regulate the river Rhine). They can also be used for the transport of other industrial transportation duties. These waggons were in the use for the Swiss direction of construction and showed in their performance less robust than the wooden flat waggons of the Austrian direction, that is why the wooden flat wagons are still in use. Today, the steel flat-waggons serve the IRR to haul material and tools for the maintenance of the rail line.
Because of the wood-tippers, flat wood-waggons and all kind of tippers and skips cannot be coupled as a mixed train, this waggon was put in between to transport and tow faulty waggons of all kind to the workshop. Due to the mouth coupling device with chain and bolt and the broad front plate, really all kind of waggon can be coupled as well as at the prototype as models.

This flat steel-carriage-waggon is built to couple all waggons and was used as well as for workshop services to take faulty waggons as to transport stones as for heavy transportation duties. The waggon is made of milled brass, real wood, copper, German silver, plastic for the isolation of the wheels and nickled steel for the axes. No photo-etched parts are used; instead they are all to scale (1:87) milled and turned parts. The brass parts are soldered, milled and cut by hand.
This waggon corresponds to the waggon pictured above and is equipped to couple all kind of waggon without problem.
A variant with roller bearings are also available (same are used for the Flat wood-waggon) but to a little cheaper price

I recommend the use of Peco OO-9 (H0e) rail including switches. This brand takes account of the international gauge norm with the exception of the Y-switches, where I found takes in the gauge, which need some rework in the entrance part of the switch. (Measured a gauge of 8.4 mm!)
The gauge of my products and wagons is set for the rail gauge-span from 8.8 mm to 9.5 mm, as well as for the axes.
For other rail gauge-spans, which exceed the tolerance stated above, I deliver broader wheels and axes to a higher price. I need in this case the sure gauge measurements from you.

Ideal where a low carriage is needed and the exceeding wheels can be hidden in the construction to build.
Attention, a soldered mounting is not recommended, gluing is much better!
